From my perspective, there are definitely some winners in here -- particularly the 4th Street NW lane cutting through the Mall, the R St. NW lane connecting to the Met Branch Trail, and the long Columbia Road NW lane. (Of course, the usefulness of individual lanes will depend entirely on where you live and where you bike to.) But it's a little disappointing to note that it appears none of these new lanes will be laid down east of the Anacostia River.
