UPDATE, 1:31 p.m.: Metro says the Rockville station has reopened, and Dr. Gridlock says that the victim, an adult male, was taken to the hospital after his leg had been pinned beneath the train for more than half an hour. According to Metro, initial witness reports indicate that the man had intentionally put himself in front of the train.

ORIGINAL: No word yet on who it was or how exactly it went down. Metro got the call around 12:20 p.m., and the agency has tweeted that the Rockville station is now shut down with trains passing through but not stopping.

Judging from our live feed here at the TBD offices, it looks like a slew of firefighters are still working to get the person out from under the train. We'll update when we learn more. According to Dr. Gridlock, the train is stopped about a third of the way into the station.

Metro is running shuttle buses around the closure. We'll update when we learn more.
