Metro Center station reimagined as regal, 3-D, moody (video)

Andrew Gillard is a gamer, computer designer, and Greenbelt resident who has crafted a different vision of what Metro could be. The young man put his Art Institute of Washington BFA in game design to good use in the following video, which shows the Metro Center station in quite literally a new light. What we see in the video is a 3-D model of Metro Center, similar to reality but with countless elegant tweaks and a rich cast of light that can only be considered regal. The video pans through a digital version of Metro Center that features glowing lamps, tall stands topped with eagle statues, benches made of wood, and what look to be shorter trolleys instead of trains.
