Recovering from one storm, ready for the next

Twitter has become a pretty reliable source for breaking news information, especially when severe weather strikes. We asked those affected by this morning's storms to submit photos and information, and the crowd seemed ready and willing to assist in our news-gathering efforts.  Here are some examples of what we learned via our tips submission form and Twitter today. If you have news we need to know about, remember to direct it to us at @TBD.

Rachel: Power on, no major damage in south Brookland, as far as I can tell. Might want to look into Huntington/Eisenhower Ave, if that isn't out of your coverage area. The area's in a little-publicized floodplain and is probably half underwater by now.

Mark submitted a photo of a damaged car that we've added to our photo gallery.
