Send TBD your photos of the Glenn Beck rally, celebs and more
If you’ve been living under a rock, you may not have heard that there’s going to be a lot of activity on the Mall this weekend. In addition to Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial (and the counter-rallies it will likely draw), there’s the "Reclaim the Dream” march passing through on its way to the MLK Memorial.
These events will be bringing a few political celebrities like Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Rev. Al Sharpton, not to mention lots and lots of visitors - some even decked out in creative costumes.
Because there's only a few of us and lots of you, we're asking for a favor. If you see a notable figure, a great rally costume or a particularly witty sign while you're out and about this weekend - snap a photo and send it our way by email to heytbd@gmail.com, by Twitter to @TBD or on our site.
Next week we'll pick out the best of the bunch and have you vote for your favorites. If your photo wins, there'll be some TBD swag in it for you. We'll have all of the photos on display right here, so even if you don't win a prize - you'll have something to put into your paparazzi portfolio.
Finally, here are more photos from TBD's own Jay Wescott:

This Glenn Beck event is a sickening example of politically clueless people being led by a greedy, self-serving demogogue. In addition, there really is no tea party. They are Republicans. Watch who 98% of them vote for in November, and look who all of their current candidates are... they all have an (R) after their names. The tea party is just the newest (and more idiotic and racist) wing of the GOP. It's very telling too that the company Beck works for (Fox, of course, which has an owned and operated station in DC) helped to promote this disgusting spectacle and they just donated one million dolllars to the GOP. Did I mention that five years ago, the leader of the GOP, George W. Bush, was sharing cake with John McCain while a city had been flooding for two days?

It is laughable that Glenn Beck is taken seriously. Worse, that he is even mentioned in the same breath as MLK. If you compare their accomplishments, it's a joke (see what I mean here http://bit.ly/bs5DPm). In truth all Beck is doing is promoting his celebrity and his books, thus building his wealth. And the Tea Partiers? They are willing dupes to help him, and they get nothing but the deserved ridicule and derision from having a frat boy and morning zoo DJ their intellectual and spiritual leader.
