What race(s) motivated you to cast a ballot, and how do you feel about them? Or why did you think it wasn't worth the trouble?

Share your thoughts and experience in the chat below or via Twitter hashtags #whyivoted or #notvoting, and follow what other voters had to say. Use hashtags #DCvote or #VoteDC to share your voting experience in general.

I supported Gray. While Fenty has made some improvements in city government, what needs to change with him will not change -- his arrogant, dismissive approach in his governance. There were several instances where he boldly told constituents that he did not have to be accountable for his actions, or for those of his appointees. That is not good. When there is a character/personality flaw, no matter how much apologizing, it is lilkely not to change. It is fundamentally who he is. I did not support Fenty for his first term for these very reasons. We need a leader who is inclusive, who will inform the community even when decisions are difficult, and who understands that you must be accountable to the electorate.
