Redskins parking, directions, Metro and other ways to make your trip to FedEx Field less awful

Embarking on the NFL's worst commute Sunday to see the Skins and Cowboys?
Hope you have fun at the game, because getting there and getting back won't be nearly as enjoyable. As Riggo's Rag pointed out, Redskins fans have the right to be angry and loud after their parking lot experience.
Here's a guide to limiting your pain as much as possible. Godspeed.
METRO
Probably a good idea. It's a one-mile walk from the Morgan Boulevard stop on the Blue Line, and you'll need to allow at least 20 minutes for the trek.
When you're leaving FedEx Field after the game, you'll be looking for Garrett A Morgan Boulevard. It's on the south side of the stadium, which is behind the Redskins' bench. Leaving from Gate H will put you closest (stadium map).
WMATA is keeping Metro open an extra hour until 1 a.m., but beware: the last Franconia-Springfield-bound train will leave the Morgan Boulevard station at 12:27 a.m. With the large crowds you'll encounter on the platform, we wouldn't recommend waiting for the last train. (Metro map)
If the game goes into overtime, don't worry about leaving your seat before the final whistle. Metro will still have trains available, according to a news release sent out this week.
PARKING AT A METRO STATION
There are 635 parking spaces at the Morgan Boulevard station and 2,200 at Largo Town Center, but you'll have to pay $25 and must have a SmarTrip card to pay when exiting. Paid parking here begins three hours before kickoff, and continues two hours after the game ends.
If you wanted to walk from Largo Town Center, it'd be a 1.6-mile trip that'll take you at least 30 minutes.
PARKING AT FEDEX FIELD
There's plenty of time to tailgate this week, as the lots will open at noon.
If you're relying on a GPS to get you there, the address is 1600 FedEx Way, Hyattsville, Maryland. Plug in your own directions here.
If you have a permit, be sure to study the Redskins' Parking and Directions guide before departing. Some lots are accessible from any direction, but there are specific entrances necessary for the Burgundy, Copper, Gray and Platinum lots.
Cash lots are available but will cost you at least $40. You can find them at the corner of Brightseat and Landover roads, which is north of the stadium. There are 1,000 spots there, and they're first-come-first-serve.

Cheaper cash lot parking with a shuttle - exit 17A, right at Lottsford Rd, across from Jasper's.

Made it to the game in my own car and got a ride back to the hotel in my own car with Designated Driver services, safety ride, arrive safely home, Awesome designated driver service.
Only $45 to take you within 10 miles of the stadium. Very friendly and understanding not knowing an exact pickup time...recommend highly!!!

Im going to the eagles redskins game on a monday night...do they have taxis waiting at the field after the game? the reason im asking is because the tickets i have include the 5th quarter party and im sure the metro will be closed before the party is over...or would it be easy to get a cab there after things clear out? thanks
