D.C. Halloween 2010: Costume photos contest
Whether you spent weeks planning and preparing an epic costume to wear this weekend, or you invented something at the last minute, TBD wants you to show off.
Send us photos of your Halloween costume, we will share them in a gallery and next week we'll let users vote on who should win prizes. (Photos of kids or pets are welcome, too.)
Here's how you can get us a photo:
- E-mail it to mynews@tbd.com
- Upload it using the Submit a Tip form online
- Upload it straight from your iPhone or Android phone using a TBD mobile app.
Be sure to include an e-mail address with your submission so we can contact you if you win a prize.
If you’re venturing out in costume on Saturday night, here’s your chance to impress us in person. We’ll be stationed at Mie N Yu on M Street in Georgetown from 6 to 8 p.m. Pop into the first-floor bar to have your photo taken and be rated on a scale of 1 through 10 by each of our judges -- figure skating-style.
Don’t expect to win with any old costume; Community Network fashion blogger Emily Hall, community hostess-slash-fashion blogger Lisa Rowan, and sex, gender, and suggestive costume expert Amanda Hess have keen judging eyes.
Photo of the contestants will also be viewable here when the competition ends. If you’re out before or after dinner or before your M Street crawl, step right up. The bar starts charging cover at 8, but Mie N Yu’s Halloween drink specials will be available during judging.
