Java Shack in Courthouse. More seating in the summer because you can sit outside and Wi-Fi also works out there. Also Iota's new cafe is ideal for working during the day. Quiet, fast Wi-Fi and good coffee. Not recommended: Bayou Bakery, because they don't have outlets. (Intentionally, I think. But good to know.)

@Ali. Way to fluff your Yelp review. The entire point of Tryst is that the waitstaff doesn't care how long you've been there - they're just as good to you in hour 1 as they are in hour 4. You should be tipping accordingly, of course, but you knew that already.

Ebenezer's is still my favorite coffee shop in all of DC. I still miss it even months after moving to Adam's Morgan. Sidamo on 5th and H is really small but the staff is super helpful, they make great drinks, and you can definitely work there. I like Bourbon too, but there coffee isn't as good as Ebenezer's. Baked and Wired fills up QUICK and their Internet service can be really spotty, but they still make the best cupcakes in the city and awesome coffee. I live really close to it but I dislike Tryst, it's definitely not a good place to work. The entire time you are there you can just tell the wait staff is counting how long you've been there. They want you in and out. Check my Yelp! Review for details. http://www.yelp.com/biz/tryst-coffee-house-bar-and-lounge-washington#hrid:MtqWJxpVW0yPFZX1osvxjA
