Say This:

Is there anything I can do to help you? Any loose ends I can help you tie up, to help you get your affairs in order? Have you talked to your lawyer? Anything you want me to do after you are gone? (how you phrase this will depend on your friend, of course)

My fear is that I'll die and my beneficiaries won't know what I've left behind for them, or that my pets will starve to death before someone notices them, that nobody will water my garden, and things like that. I want to know that my little world isn't going to fall apart when I'm gone.
