My friend was just diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. I want to say something comforting.

Say This:

I'm sad to hear about your illness. If their is anything I can do for you, please let me do it.

It will be good for you and it will also help me to deal with this also.

What I liked to hear--"That sucks. How are you handling it?" I have cancer. 	Cajunlady (Posted Nov 2, 07 11:55am ) As a cancer survivor I agree with AbiRu. We all know how dreadful it can be. There are too many incredibly sad stories that people are too anxious to share.
