One of my closest friends just died this past March. I was with her almost everyday of her illness. She didn't want anything Negative said around her,. She was fighting for her life and then just fighting for some more time with her family and friends. She lived about fourteen months from diagnosis.

Some days were harder than others especially when we knew she was getting worse and still had to keep smiling and thinking of light conversation. Toward the end we would sit and watch tv together and she would occasionally vent or admit her fears. Her fears were mostly about the people she was leaving behind. We all miss her terribly every day. Just be there is most important.
