Do's and Don'ts:

Do be careful when you mention weight since, to most men or women who struggle with the issue, it's like waving a red flag in front of a bull. Since weight is directly related to health, do relate your concern to health issues rather than appearance. Do express your worry with a show of love and support....Your partner will hear the message better. Also let him or her know they're not alone. Also know that stress can lead to weight gain..so you might want to explore what you can do to help reduce that pressure.

Say This:

Honey, I've noticed that you've been under a lot of pressure lately and it looks like you may have put on some weight, and it really concerns me. Your doctor has already told us you could face sleep apnea or heart trouble if you don't get your weight under control. I know it's easy to lose sight of these things when you're under pressure at work but you need to know that your health is critical not only to you but to me and our kids. We need you healthy because we don't want to lose you. Is there anything I can do to make things less stressful?

Make sure she has had her thyroid checked. If her thyroid isnt working correctly than she will gain weight.(another side is if she has hyper thyroid she will lose weight rapidly.
