Do's and Don'ts:

I went through exact the same situation. After crashing his car three times in a couple of years, I tried to appeal to his economic sense. I said he could take a taxi where he wanted to go for less than his auto insurance, license tags, and his gas and oil. he replied, that was his only form of independence. "Don't take that away from me". The last time he sped out of the driveway in reverse only missing the neighbors house by crashing into their tree, he called me to tell me he was hanging up his drivers license.

The point is you have to make him feel it's his decision before he kills himself and an innocent other.

Just this morning around 5:30 a geezer drove through the police roped off area of DUI homicidal accident and crashed into another car. On a street that was shut down to traffic!

Say This:

Gimmie the keys!
