Do's and Don'ts:

Do check your state's policies / requirements for older drivers. In California, we were able to (anonymously) request that the state require that dad take a driving test to renew his license (he never did); so the problem was solved without direct intervention. Direct intervention would have been confrontational, because of the mini-strokes he had suffered, so we needed a way to accomplish this indirectly, for his own safety; and the safety of others.
