What would you say in this situation?
I'm a mom who has been out of the workforce for some time. I need to tell a potential employer that I'm still an asset.

Say This:

Are you tired of Gen Y employees who act like they are doing you a favor to come to work? I will view my job as fun and easy and something to look forward to after years of the multi-tasking and grueling work of motherhood. You will not have to motivate me, I am motivated myself.

I don't know if many employers would appreciate being told the jobs at their organization are easy.

It's also likely that the hiring manager will be a younger person.

I'm in the same situation as you, except I'm older and divorced. I'd be soooooooo grateful for a cush job with the city or government, or any company that offers health insurance.
