Wild horses can't keep themselves away from junk food
Wild horses are beautiful to behold, evoking the untamed Rockies of generations ago. Although their numbers are dwindling, they do still exist today, and as nearby as southeastern Maryland: the Assateague Island National Seashore, a federally-protected barrier island where horses are one of the main attractions. Problem is, visitors have been feeding the beasts, which, like humans, have become addicted to junk food.
