    Thunder Burger in Georgetown has launched a "Wild Wednesday" promotion, serving exotic animal meat such as alligator ribs. One of their planned meats will be lion. Naturally, this is not going over well with wildlife activists.

    Last week, the Washington Post ran a perfectly fine story about a fisherman who caught a 143-pound blue catfish in a lake along the Virginia–North Carolina border, besting the state record by 30 pounds. If weight means nothing to you, consider the accompanying photo: It took three grown men to hold the whiskered fish, which, of course, was dead. Well, this upset reader Hal Holzman enough to write a curious letter to the editor.
