New Bands

It seems that lately I've been hearing more new music from new bands than in the past 5-6 years. Flipping around on the FM dial, a rarity since I have 166 days of music on my ipod, I heard the tail end of a song by "Back Door Slam," a new band from the Isle of Man. I picked up the CD and went to see them live at a small club here in Atlanta, It was an amazing experience. I never had the pleasure of seeing Stevie Ray or Rory Gallagher live, but these guys are channeling, Rory especially...and they're only 19.

Anyway, my question is has anyone heard any other amazing new bands lately?

Depends on the type of music you like. There's this new band that's only been around a couple of years, I think. A London-based group called Jackdaw4. Check them out if you're into Queen-like harmonies mixed with Beatlesque sensibilities.

British rock has still got it going on. My daughter likes Gnarles Barkley. I like the new Annie Lennox music except for the depressing ones.
