Retirement Investments ;-D

Here's a little retirement info for you:

If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Delta Air Lines stock one year ago you would have $49.00 left.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all of the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg.

(I've got no agenda y'all...just thought it was funny and sadly true. Perhaps it will inspire ideas on how to spend the weekend ;-)

Right now my husband and I are investing in good memories--so we are traveling and meeting new people and having fun with family and friends.

It would if you lived in Oregon, where they have a rebate on returnable bottles. When I was a kid a beer bottle was worth $.03. ;-)

If you had invested $700 of that $1000 in gold and the remaining $300 in beer a year ago, you'd have $1024 right now. Beer forever. My type of investment strategy.
