listener123 I agree with you about feeling freaked, sad and I will also add helpless. I, like you, do not want to be negative. How do you put a positive twist on all the concerns. I feel the majority is not being represented. I am not sure about the mentality deteriorating, I think we have been asleep and accepting.

One positive note about this current administration is that, for me anyway, I am waking up and questioning my elected officials, starting at the local level where it all begins.

While reading your post. I had to think about a conversation my wife and I were having.

I don't believe you can separate a person's belief from their actions. Let me explain, if a man's believes in just money and comforts in life. Chances are that person will spent a good amount of time thinking about how to accomplish this and keep it.

You probably heard, you are what you think you are. Well, that being said, how can you really separate a really religious person from one that's isn't.

An old saying. "If an honest man goes to the home of a dishonest man to visit enough times, the honest man will become dishonest."

"Well, If a honest man goes to the office of a politician and goes enough, the honest man will become like the politician, dishonest."

Afterall, why do you think it say's "In God We Trust" on our money. Money for most Americans is the real God. That's why it makes it soo hard to do the right thing.

Now, on what's happening to our country. Our policies are for the Greed of Corporations. We believe what's easy to believe in.

I can speak of 2 wars that we have been involved in that were started with lies. Our lies.

1. The Vietnam War...(lie to congress about a port invasion in Vietnam.)

2. The War with Iraq...(lie to congress about Weapon of mass destruction)

Now, you're asking what's wrong???

We been sold out long before this and it's not getting better.

Thought, look at the devaluing of the dollar. Maybe that's why we should trust in God. But really, in America and I live in Chicago, the real trust is in money not God, God left here when we started lying. And that's been going on a while...Plus, we have less and less control of the devaluing of our dollar.

It's a darn shame that Obama has to "choose better words" and is accused of being an elitist. He says what nobody wants to say. As a psychotherapist I spend my days helping people to see how much of themselves they project on others. This is all he is saying. It's so simple and the fact that the press is negative. In fact this supports the theory of projection!
