Give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe your email went astray. Follow up with a phone call suggesting that possibility (as an out for his supposed rudeness). It wouldn't hurt.

Most companies are so slammed with unsolicited resumes via the Internet that they dont take the time to follow-up. At other times, if they find their candidate internally, they wont take the time to give you a update. It's an unfortunate downside to how business sometimes gets done these days
