The Police or Monterey Jazz Festival?

My sweetheart's birthday is coming up soon and I want to surprise her with some concert tickets. What do you think? Either The Police concert in Oakland or the 50th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival?

Some pros for The Police -- this concert tour marks the first public performances by the multi-platinum trio - singer-bassist Sting, guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland - since 1986!

Some pros for the Monterey Jazz Festival -- three day event includes the likes of Diana Krall, Gerald Wilson Orchestra, Terrence Blanchard Quintet, Ornette Coleman, Sonny Rollins, and Dave Brubeck Quartet to name a few. Need I say more?

I have nothing against the Police, but you cannot really be serious about comparing these two events? For me this would be a "no-brainer" ... Monterey ... ;-)
