Ahhh, I cleaned up my DVR last night... Oh how I miss Tivo, but had to get Direct TV a few months ago and it's not as ba...
LM,
I have Direct tv and was able to keep using my Stand alone Tivo unit. I had to connect it a little differently because of the interface changes Directv made to the new HD reciever, but it does work in the background.

I'm getting ready for the launch of the new se...
The DVR is addicting. I have a weekly ritual of going thru the guide and finding out what's on the following week's talk shows (Letterman, Ferguson, Regis, etc.), PBS, Sundance and TCM. Also, sitcoms: Scrubs, Ugly Betty, My Name Is Earl, Big Bang Theory (my favorite new comedy), How I Met Your Mother and 30 Rock.
Not much drama: Medium, Supernatural and Moonlight.
Also love HGTV's House Hunters.
And I can't forget all the movies which I wind up erasing because I overload the system!
