Is Hillary really that far out of first place? I'm unsure. Both candidates will have to depend on the super-delegates to go over the top. She must feel that she has the edge over Obama here, although it's hard to see a non-white candidate being "discriminated" against by these super-delegates at the last minute.

Perhaps Pennsylvania holds some hope for her. I think a politician who gets this far in such an emotional and significant campaign would find it inconceivable to give up at this stage.

The pertinent fact appears to be: America has not warmed to Hillary this time, or over the many years it has been acquainted with her and her family. It's difficult to see our attitudes toward her changing over the forthcoming 4 or 8 years.

I think you have a good point. It is infuriating that she is using so many far-right smear tactics; including to accuse someone else of doing it.

I hope people will consider the issues and the platform, and realtive sincerity/honesty.

I think you are exactly right. Hillary will do anything to become President. A look at her career since Bill became Prez shows a deceptive, secretive woman who craves power. She believes that by staying in the race (and she knows that she cannot stop Obama) and campaigning dirty, she can damage Obama enough to cause him to lose to John McCain. Then 4 years later she can run again and that may be her last chance - in 8 years she may me too old to run.

I worry that John McCain may win based on such important issues as the flag lapel pin (this custom was invented as I recall during the Nixon administration), the smear that Obama is a Muslin (I think 10-15% of people actually believe this incredible lie), what his pastor says, what someone he knows might have done 40 years ago etc. Hillary carries way more ugly baggage which Obama has not brought up, but which the Republicans surely would.

There was a time not long ago, that I was saying a McCain win was out of the question. Now I'm getting scared. He's looking more and more viable every day.

If McCain wins, Hill will have a clear shot for the top job in 4 years. If Obama wins, she may have to wait at least 8...
