AZure-CAlm....Thanks for the warning on Hoag...I very much dislike romance novels.

I am a book hoarder, and couldn't even imagine throwing a book away.

However, many years ago, I bought a copy of a book called "Dianetics" by L. Ron Hubbard. I read the first several pages of it, and realized that for the first time in my life, I HAD to throw a book in the garbage.

That was a long time ago...too bad ALL copies of that thing weren't burned.

I love books. But when, quite some time ago, I tried to read "The Exorcist" I was so spooked by it that I actually threw it in the garbage and piled trash on top of it so that it couldn't get out !!

Well I cant say that I have actually thrown a book in the garbage can. I've read some halfway and put them away never to be finished. I've extremely selective on what I pick out to read so that helps. If its not on the best seller list or if it is not highly recommended by reviewers I probably wont read it. I hate romance, suspense, and most of the other junk on the market. I do like good realitic ficton especially if its a reflection of our culture in some way or other cultures for that matter. I have started a James Patterson book a friend is lending me but I'm not sure if I'm into it or not. We'll see.

I did fling a book across the room once in total disgust. Which says quite a bit since I don't tend have those types of reaction in general. Ever want to have a temper tantrum and just can't? That's me.

Wish I could remember the title of the book, but I think I blocked it from my memory and immediately went to my happy place.
