I don't really know what progressive Rock is, but I have to add:
1. Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.
2. Janis' Cosmic Blues,
3. Zappa's Hot Rats
4.... and I'm torn between Electric Ladyland and Rainbow Bridge for Hendrix.
5. Oh and Disraeli Gears by the Cream

Hot Rats? Really?
You are the first woman I have ever heard reference that one. That's a classic. One of my favorite singers sings the title track, the great Captain Beefheart.
Great record. I think I'll give it a whirl tonight.

Hey, Joe, I hear one of your favorite songs is "In Heaven Everything is fine!" so anyone who likes that (non-progressive" classic is okay in my book!
Anyway, Ya gotta love Zappa - He studied musicology and was a brilliant musician!
(We've already talked about Beefheart on another discussion, remember -I'm a fan!!)

I just have too many to mention, and that's progressive rock alone. Even still, the ranking of them would more than likely change on a daily basis. :)
