God morning all!! (hee-hee, that started as a typo, but felt it was pretty appropriate after all!!)
What a wonderful word for you Rose!!! aren't you excited to see what the Lord has in store? Wow!! I can relate to what you said about asking the Lord to help you overcome worry and He sends you more to worry about. Sort of like praying for patience, right? Hang in there sistah - all is in His hands. You are so special to Him and to all of us here. WE LOVE YOU!!!
And eltee, i hope it all goes as planned (by God) today with your interview. the more responsibility you are given in this world, the more opportunity to shine as the light of the world. nothing makes more of an impact than a superior acting in a Godly way, regardless of the outcome. Let us know what happens!
So good to hear from you dear Terry. i have been praying for you and think of you so often. I so admire your faithfulness in the face of so much difficulty. You really remind me of Paul, where he says,
"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us.
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed…” (2 Cor 4:7)
You are an inspiration to me, to keep on keeping on, when i feel discouraged. I think of you, Terry and how you perservere. Bless you dearest brother. Know that you are truly loved by all here, and especially by our Lord.
LANSR.....COME BACK...........WE MISS YOU!
Ed, your prayer for eltee was wonderful and the Word the Lord gave you for Rose, so encouraging. Thank you for faithfully being that pipeline of God's blessings to us here. Now what is going on in YOUR life that we can pray for? What are YOUR struggles my sister? I know you don't like to talk about yourself, but 'inquiring minds want to know' (ha). no, really, it would be our privilege to battle for you as well. you are much loved.
well, i am off to my dusty little studio this morning!! yippeee!!! i started a new piece yesterday that i am so excited about!!!! it's totally not spiritual, except for the fact that God is the one that fills us with joy and laughter, especially in children. i'll post a shot when it's further along. Jesus and his little sheep is in the kiln right now. (prayers for no mishaps....) you never know when you open that thing whether things will have cracked, exploded, warped or whatever. sort of like us...if we make it through the fire, we are so much stronger and better.
love to you all and buckets of blessings!!
cinder
p.s. am praying for gayle was well. i know she's gone for a few days, but not from our hearts!
pps. also onfire, as you whisk around your city delivering pizzas and the love of God and Nancy with your beautiful flowers, gentle reminders of His love - and all the rest that i can't remember your names right this moment - PEACE AND BLESSINGS!!!!

Cinder, you were out of town and I had prayed for you. Let us know that all went well.
I am fine. As usual, the only thing when asked, I respond, pray for God's continuing spiritual blessings for me.
Not getting too far along on getting my computer fully back together, but I know that I will catch up and be as good as new or better soon. JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!JESUS! JESUS! (I will always remember you for that, Cinder and that sums up what I want to say.)

Just a quick note to say good morning. I am under the weather with a bad cold and I must work this weekend, so off to bed I will go. Hopefully some sleep and some meds will get me on my feet again. Cinder, your upbeat posts have given me a much needed smile once again...you are such a dear! Good luck, eltee with all things business. With God on your side, you already are ahead of everyone else anyway! And, as always, thank you editor for keeping this wonderful upper room alive and well. Be good to you, Terry. We love you and miss you Lan. Hang in there, Rosie Bear. I am going to go hit my pillow and try to shake this horrible head and chest cold. Kelli

K, with the Lord on your side, Vitamin C or whatever mother's little helper is, and bed rest, may God bring you swiftly through this illness. Thanks for checking in.

Yes! JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!! Who made computers?? MAN. Who made man? JESUS!
i will always continue to thank God for his continued spiritual blessings on you ed, specially since He's promised them, that makes it an easy one.
the little trip to oklahoma was very good. God showed up and showed off, as He always does. I didn't know what i was going to be speaking about exactly (as usual), so i prayed about it before i went to bed and woke with it all crystal clear in my head. wrote it all down and off i went.
it didn't hurt that i had a new blouse and trouser jeans (which i got on sale at Ross - yes! even a spiritual person likes to look cute.) It ended up that the Lord sent a woman who needed to hear everything He told me to say. She came up and told me so afterwards and I was able to pray with her. God is so good.
kelli, I pray that the Lord will wake you feeling much better and able to face your work with no problems.
Back to the studio. One down (almost) and two more to go. (Can you figure out what I'm doing????)
bye now!

Things My Mother Taught Me"
My Mother taught me LOGIC:
“If you fall off that swing and break your neck, you can't go to the store with me."
My Mother taught me MEDICINE:
"If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they're going to freeze that way."
My Mother taught me TO THINK AHEAD:
"If you don't pass your spelling test, you'll never get a good job!"
My Mother taught me ESP:
"Put your sweater on; don't you think that I know when you're cold?"
My Mother taught me TO MEET A CHALLENGE:
"What were you thinking? Answer me when I talk to you... Don't talk back to me!"
My Mother taught me HUMOR:
"When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."
My Mother taught me how to BECOME AN ADULT:
"If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."
My mother taught me ABOUT SEX:
"How do you think you got here?"
My mother taught me about GENETICS:
“You are just like your father!"
My mother taught me about my ROOTS:
"Do you think you were born in a barn?"
My mother taught me about the WISDOM of AGE:
"When you get to be my age, you will understand."
My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION:
"Just wait until your father gets home."
My mother taught me about RECEIVING:
"You are going to get it when we get home."
And my all time favorite thing- JUSTICE:
"One day you will have kids, and I hope they turn out just like
YOU. Then you'll see what it's like."
