I'm also new here, but definitely not new to the net or to social networks... one really BIG issue I see is for us Canadian members. There's no way for us to find each other! The 'search' function doesn't seem to search profiles at all. The 'near me' members searches don't work with postal codes, only with US zip codes. All together, it means we have to find each other through postings somewhere. Perhaps a better user search is in order?

Another issue for Canadians. I went to Starbucks for a cup of coffee today and was given a survey to fill out online. A thank you prize of $1000 is given per "Starbucks districts" in all US states, and all Canadian provences, except Quebec ... who get nothing.
Is it typical to exclude French-speaking Canucks from national competition rules, or is it some quirky Quebec effort to break away from not only Canada, but North America, too?

Quebec often has laws that are different from the rest of the country... I'll bet there's some law pertaining to contests that makes it difficult for Starbucks to conduct their 'survey' the same way there.
Quebec have made some attempts to 'break away' from Canada, but they'll never break away from North America - not unless they float out into the Atlantic. And the Maritimes would get in the way...

Thanks for pointing this out. We are going to fix this in the near term, I will post about it in Inside TeeBeeDee (my weekly update post, on Mondays) when it's fixed. Currently only 3% of our visits come from Canada, hopefully that will grow when we get our search act together.
