There has been a 'drought' in my hometown for the past 20 years.

The glaciers that used to be visible year round in the nearby mountains are gone. The wells have dried up in the neighboring county and most people have to truck in their water.

My question is, when does it stop being a drought and become climate change?

I do believe in climate change and global warming and I've done what I can to green up my life.

I quit a job that created a 3 hour a day commute and took a 50% pay cut to work closer to home.

I use all electric wind energy (I pay more for it).

I grow my own veggies, I compost, I only use native flowers and grasses in my landscape.

I'm trying.

I find the ugly\clueless American stereotype to be insulting and I'm a little surprised it is showing up here.

It is natural to believe that we are having some kind of affect on our environment in comparison to 200 years ago, but is the cause of global warming? I guess we couldn't say either way, but what we do know is that we need to keep it in mind and do what we can to help our environment.

It is said that in the last century the earth has warmed by 1%, although this is not a massive amount, it still could be an unnatural 1% which would have an effect on the earth's climate.

The truth of the matter is, the earth works in a certain way that even the best scientists in the world cannot fathom it. We can never assume we know it all just as we cannot 100% rely on what we already believe we know as there could be many unknown factors that have not been taken into account

The population is too high.With every 200 million people added to the planet giving off heat at 98.6 it is warming the world.

PS the world revolves around France.

Global Warming The word was created in a Exxon board meeting as a advertising slogan and has been the worlds number one ad slogan ever. Just look at their profit s lately they made more money then any company ever. When G.W. Bush was running for election the first time one of the under lying issues was the public wanted to stop funding N.A.S.A. and make then get their own money. So they lied about the earths temps. by 3 degrees. over the past ten years they were able to alter the publics thinking about the planet and were caught in their lie in 2007 look it up if you don't believe me. It was in all the major papers the 3 degree difference now makes the past ten years the coolest since recorded time of temperature. Also all the temp. readings taken around America can't be counted as reliable the 2100 sites were found to be extremely flawed in where they put the thermometers beside heat pump exhaust units and such it was discovered by a meteorologists in L.A. and it also is in the papers. The ice caps that are melting in the arctic are not what they say, it is a natural weather recurrence that happens every 78 years and is well documented by the scientist.

Yes, Global warming is happening. I am sure what we can do about.
