That's a true answer, TJ! Keep coming back, because we're going to get to that realization in the overall discussion group. Any comments you want to share, or questions, are welcome!

Hi TJ, I know it show abstract to you, but if you really really want to know God's love and feel God's love then you have to allow him into your life. Recieve him totally him without any doubt in your mind and surrender your self to him.And TJ is not going to be a feeling it is going to be an experince like never before.I know i have been were you are at now but I had to find him for myself with honesty, trust and a willing heart. You are going to experince something wonderful and get into a church that really knows the true word of God and they are living that word. TJ get that personal relationship with God. You will be telling us about your wonderful experince with God and thatyou have experince what God's love is all about.keep coming to the discussions.

Catherine, can you be more specific? An "experience" is too vague. How, has God shown Himself to you?
How has He specifically changed your life? If I were not a Christian, how would what you have be any different than anyone else? Thanks!

The most convincing thing in the world is the power of the Holy Spirit of God with His word. He is the one that convicts us of our sin and our need for Jesus Christ. He is the one who convinces us of the great love and sacrifice that was made for us. Its hard to explain - simply stating its like a light being turned on in our darkened understanding "We love Him because He first loved us". Everyday people will say "yes" and people will say "no" to the gentle prodding of the Holy Spirit who desires to lead us into all truth. I said yes to Jesus at age 15. It changed the course of my life and I have never regretted it.

Hi, Summer!! Welcome to the discussion!
Okay, I see everyone so far is saying how great it is & how their life has been changed, but it wouldn't convince me to be a Christian based on what I've read so far. Now, my interest has been peaked, but is this Christian thing just an "experience", a "feeling", or does it involve a "knowing", a cerebral undertaking?
Can any of you that have already posted give some specific examples as to how being a Christian has changed your life? And how would that change be different than for an unbeliever?

This is all very well, but there are hundreds of different religions, philosophies, and ideas today. Why this one? And why do I believe that there is a God at all?
I don't want to follow something just because it sounds nice, because my family does it, or because it makes me feel good, if it isn't true.
But after looking at the evidence (the Bible; Jesus' life, character, teachings and work; the change in the disciples' lives; and most of all Jesus' death and resurrection), I am convinced that what the Bible says and what Jesus claimed about himself was true. And this is why I follow him.
