Not at all, I've always had some kind of interaction with people and exchanged some messages before inviting them as friends. I guess if you don't know them, you can always check out their profile and see if you share any common interests and take it from there, Phil

and Phil, if there is really 'nothing' on their profile, what is it would you say that their objective is? Certainly not to know me, and we are not in High School so it can not be about looking 'popular' LOL I just don't get it. I'm not sure what they get out of it.

Rebky, On other sites that I've been on, if someone's profile is blank or full of " prefer not to say " answers, I'm moving on. You can let it go and see if they follow up on it. If you're not interested and they start harassing you, just block them.

I am not sure what the value is in inviting or becoming "friends" with someone. Does it make any difference with regard to what you can do on TBD? If you find out Rebky, please let me know.

I agree....what they say about themselves and their interests is paramount to their involvement to the board and their motivation in "making friends".

I've only had to decline one friend request on another site, from someone who was persistent...and it was someone I knew...LOL...which is why I declined it.

If it's from someone I don't know, on line or otherwise, I'll check out their "space" to see what makes them tick, and then take it from there. On one site, it showed who the other friends were, and they were ALL 20 something single girls...and I don't fit THAT...so I just ignored...no harm done.

I'm not into quantum physics, but am a newbie here...and am interested in meeting ppl too...
