Welcome, maclady. A couple of tips for navigating the site. Typing in all uppercase will reduce the responses to your posts, it's seen as shouting. Adding a picture -- if not of your face, then of an avatar or something meaningful to give personality to your profile -- will help. If you want to find members with similar interests in your NY area, click on the members link at the top of any page, you can filter by gender or interests. Unfortunately, we don't have a way for you to search in areas outside your area of registration -- so can't search for Florida yet -- but that is coming soon.
