PRAYER: Jesus, help me to have a humble heart before You in worship. Remove any sin from my heart and idolatry that may exist. I praise You for being holy, righteous, and an all-consuming fire.

Daily Praise: May 13

Oh Jesus, how I love You. I love You with all my being. I worship You. I adore You with my whole heart. I kiss You in thanks and in gratitude for Your great love for me, which I don't understand, but for which I am so thankful.

I hold You. I weep tears of joy. I praise You for Your love and for Your tenderness, for Your mercies, for Your magnificence. Though You're so great and a mighty King, yet You stoop to hold me in Your arms and wipe away my tears and comfort me.

You are the answer to every question, the meaning to every purpose, the strength to every weakness. You're the eyes and the ears, the very heart of life. You are the sunshine of the universe, the power behind every atom, the eye that is in every place beholding every thought, every feeling, every need. You are the arms and comfort of God to carry us, His love to save us.

PRAYER CHALLENGE: Jesus, bring me back to reality. Help me to be sensitive to what you are trying to say. Penetrate my heart with your Word and Spirit in my times of worship, prayer, and study of the Bible.

Daily Praise: May 14

You fill my heart with everything. You are what makes me complete. You are happiness. You are the ultimate of everything that there is. Without You there is nothing, for You fill all things with Your Spirit and Your love. I owe You everything. I want to praise Your name and glorify You for eternity, with all my being.

I'm sure by now every one knows I spent time in the military(more than one hitch) anyway. I'm reminded of what happened to a soldier during World War II. I believe this is reprinted in the Bethany House. A soldier was by his bunk in the barracks, saying his prayer just before taps. Another soldier, bothered by this show of piety, through his heavy combat boot and hit the Praying man on the head, knocking him down. The first soldier said nothing. The other soldier laughed and went to bed, forgetting to retrieve his boot. The next morning, he found both of his boots by his bed beautifully spit -- shined. The two soldiers ended up praying together.

Dear God, as I speak to you, speak to me about those you want me to love today. Amen.

Father, thank you for all the Bible teaches us about relationships. As I study the Scriptures, help me to grow in my understanding and apply your principles more and more to my life--and my relationships. In Jesus' name ...

Your happiness and joy at receiving my praises overwhelms me. What a joy it is to think that You--who have such power, glory, beauty and splendor--desire and eagerly wait for my praise-kisses to You.

Oh, that I could praise You all the day long! If only more people knew of Your loveliness and Your love, their hearts would also burst forth in praise to You, in honor and glory, in obeisance and adoration. Then You would receive a touch of the attention and the worship You deserve, as the true King You are.

Knowing how much You appreciate my words of praise makes me want to give You so many more. Though I'm a beggar and I wear mere rags and have nothing of earthly value to offer You--only myself and my small tokens of praise--You rejoice with such great rejoicing that You make me feel important. I am overwhelmed that You value my love so much.

of course.. just "he is liken unto us" we need praise from family from friends and mostly from mates. that makes us GO better, so does God.. Just don't beg him, thank him and praise him for what he has done and given to you. .. and then He rejoices with you and you with him. see i ain't so stupid. but you might say the devil believes and trembles. lol

Punkinface, you are so right in saying we must praise and thank Him in prayer. This is the formula the Lord set before us as we enter into His throne of grace with our prayer petitions: Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Give thanks unto him, and bless his name. Psa 100:4

Plainly See

You will plainly see that not all want to travel this road of salvation and sanctification. Some will refuse to go but a few paces; some will go until we reach the crossroads of sanctification and obedience; some will not even walk the path of salvation: But I say to you; I will give you a few that will run this course with you, if you will go first ahead.

Lord, thank You for this season of reflection and devotion to personal holiness. Forgive me all the times I did not put You first, or the needs of others. Here I am, Lord, send me. Amen
