Cinder, we are so very much alike with our spiritual eyes. Three wise Kings worshiped Jesus in an animal's stall. We also can worship Him at all times, despite a lack of glamor. Riches are not wrong, they are only ill-defined.
When we depend on our Father's provision we are not only content, but we smile at His extravagant lesson that comes with the supply.

I like Day 4. It's my favorite so far!
Probably because I usually always think something wonderful is just about to happen any minute now. I love to get the mail, just in case someone sent me something wonderful, like an unexpected check or package. shallow i know. but still.
i especially love the Jeremiah 1:12 "I am watching over my word to perform it."
YES!!

I knew day 3's very first sentence would leap out. Feeling overwhelmed? Now that I know Jesus manages my time, not me, when I catch myself thinking, I will never catch up, I just ask Him to take me down a mental list and complete the tasks at hand that He finds more important.
Day 4: Cinder, you are right. Instead of sarcastically thinking, Oh, what next, we joyfully anticipate, What next, Lord!

i'm not a worrier by nature. and i'm so glad. i have what i call my bi-annual meltdown, where i suddenly get worried about everything...what if i get cancer - i have no insurance, what if the car breaks down? we cant' afford another car, et.c, etc...
i don't know how i would ever live very long if i worried a lot.
one thing about worrying...it's perfect practice for meditation. all you do when you worry is turn something over and over in your mind. meditation is the same, except you are turning over the truth of God over and over in your mind, constantly thinking of it, examing it...
who's worried? not me!

Do you remember Alfred E. Neumann from Mad magazine---What, me worry? I used to use that as my avatar. My Mom really worried all the time. It worked so that I did not want that burden or to be like that.

Day 6 is very powerful - VERY POWERFUL. I have tended to do this a lot. I don't necessarily think my life is not as good as others, but that, personally, I am not as good as others- my talent, my looks, my education, my Christian living, all of that.
I am so glad i am doing this study. I have been like a ship without a sail of late, drifting around, not focusing enough to get much out of bible reading. i am looking for this to change my life.
THANK YOU ED!

Cinder, I do take every Scriptural promise as written to me explicitly. It helps to allow me to realize that God made me just as I am and is deeply, head over heels in love with me! When you sell yourself short, you are short changing God. He wants to lavish His love and favor on you. He does this intimately, we just need to be open and available to this doting attention.
I thank God for His workmanship I see in you!
