I can seriously understand your concern. I remember when I used to do things like exercise on a more regular basis. The leg press is where one looked like a superhero as I recall.
My luck, if I tried to do a leg press today, I'd probably blow a knee joint.
I think you're right about the sickness, asthma affecting you...just give yourself some time.

Weekend with the girls is over. Today we went to a nearby a lake with a park. I brought along my Canon XTi camera (the one that took the glacier pic for this discussion).
I used the telephoto lens on it the whole time. Shared the camera with both my daughters so they could use with the telephoto and actually see the differences in various lenses first hand.
They both have wonderful eyes for composition and subjects. I'll be using many of their works for these discussions over time.
A milestone occurs tomorrow: My former wife closes on our soon-to-be-her house. Wouldn't miss it.

Congatulations lostmutt...milestones like these are ones that cause a heavy sigh and a slight burden slowly falls from our shoulders.
I had one hatchling return for a weekend visit and it was nice. We had a couple of nice home-cooked meals, he slept in (something he never gets a chance to do in the Air Force), stayed out late with friends, and I got an extra couple of hugs before he left. I miss him but realize that he has another life, another 'home', another entire group of people and friends that are important to him that I will probably never meet. And that is okay. (And if it wasn't, there isn't a darn thing I could do about it anyway!)
I did notice a few extra gray hairs this morning, however, and I truly enjoy not having to tote heavy bags of groceries, or bags of sugar, or dog food, or whatever. The wrinkles and the gray hair, the loss of some oomph that I used to take for granted, being called Ma'am. I lived this. I earned this. And it completely beats the alternative...that being pushing up daisies!
