I NEVER pay attention to the philosophies of people between 16 and 30.

Ken--I'll bet if you had stayed with that girl you met way back when you were 17, you'd have learned that she was not as perfect as you rememember or as perfect as you thought she was back then.

And I don't think there is ever a love that compares to that first love! Memories are always better than the reality of it was.

Perfection is 'relative' - most days I'm relatively perfect...no it's true....just ask hubby....he rarely disagrees with me.

Good question: By remembering I too have 'nasties' and he still loves me. I've concluded that if no one else loves me...as long as I love myself and hubby does...life is good.
