I don't know if this was asked before on TBD but i am curious as to what others think. Is it the thought that really counts? When your SO gives you a gift for a birthday, anniversary, holiday, etc? Were you disappointed ? You can share the wonderful here too but i'd also like to hear about the disappointing gifts you received and/or not received. I think gifts are important to women - it makes us feel special, but guys how do you really feel about gifts? Do you look forward to holiday surprises or could you care less? I want to hear your stories.... :)
I'll share one of mine - i have a good one that i'll share later in the forum but this one... - it was the second birthday of mine that i was sharing with my husband (my 33rd) - he did a unbelievable job on the 32nd birthday i had with him (i'll share that later) but this one - he was out of town - earlier in our relationship, i had told him when i was little my little brother had a bb gun and i had always wanted one - so i received one in the mail while he was out of town a few days before my bday- he called me that day but forgot it was my bday and didn't mention it so neither did i - it was very sweet(the bb gun) but i am not going to lie i felt disappointed there was nothing romantic a card, etc. As the years have gone by - the surprise or romance of any holiday has gone too - i know it's the thought that counts - and since that bday - it's not his worst present - but i did feel disappointed as selfish as that sounds - any one else?
