Let me show you. It has nothing to do with nudity.

Many of you may not have heard of the term “graphic novel.” A graphic novel is a comic book, all grown up. It encompasses subjects beyond the men-in-tights Superhero genre.
I’d not heard that term until, oh, about September of 2007, when I was asked to try my hands at it.
I write and paint. My writing feels lonely without the art and the reverse is the same. So I have found the perfect format for my abilities.
There are some truly amazing, literary graphic novels out there, including “Epileptic,” by David B., “Life is Good If You Don’t Weaken,” by Seth, and Alison Bechdel’s “Fun House.”
I’ve been working on my graphic novel for a year and-a half. I would say the writing is still the most important aspect of the graphic novel, because without a good story, no matter how wonderful the drawing, it’s not going to be interesting to readers.
I wrote a prose book, then started to break the prose down into captions and dialogs, just like a stage play. After the writing was done, I began to illustrate.
Please click the link below to see the process. I show how it’s done through snapshots of the work-in-progress. I hope it’s fun for you to see. It’s certainly the most fun I’ve had in my creative life.
