Great job, LostMutt! Great topics! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I like the idea of noting whether one wants feedback - I also would like the opportunity for second feedback. Here is a personal prejudice of mine, but real writing (in my opinion) involves not only writing, but rewriting ...and often where I need the most help, is in assessing whether the (editing) changes that have been made produce the desired improvement. I think it would be great if we could resubmit the thing we have written and get second opinions from the people that critiqued them in the first place (as well as new people.) Maybe we could agree that (for those that want critique) we would all read at least three other people's works and comment. A variety of opinions (I think) would be helpful (to me at least).

I second this idea and think it is a missing piece here. DeeCross has been trying to get us to think that way, I believe, with his exercise on Soaking Life Up.
My motives are selfish: moving into those second and third drafts is where I need to focus now.

great topics had lots of fun reading everyones post and seeing some of our old friends again, and the fact that it was short and not so intence made it more exciting, thanks for the invite hope to see something new again soon.

I wasn't able to participate this time, but I enjoyed reading the submissions and was in awe of some--there were some very good moments. I know feedback is important, but it is also great to just have "free writing" now and then and see what comes flowing out. Voice seemed strong in most of the submissions while sometimes we all polish too much.
