But on we go in spite of the inner critic. The quote is from a writer I admire, about his process. I like what it says about the quiet, the struggle, the privacy and intimacy of the work of writing. The inner critic is always on duty, ready to whisper "It's crap...might as well give up." "If you were serious you'd be working on a novel." "Others are so much better a this."
And yet on we go.
