Wow, I have a friend that has been recommending "Its Just Lunch" but I have not called them. I am not surprised to hear that there is not much effort made in matching their clients. I tried a different service back in the mid 90s and was matched with examples from every extreme, nothing near to the type I was looking for. It makes you feel like they did not listen to you at all in the initial interview process. Maybe this was because a woman interviewed me but a man was doing the matching for my account. Maybe a woman could have picked better matches for me. Who knows?
Them: $$$$ Check Please.
Me: Refund please!

I would suggest going on meetup.com and check to see if they have groups in your area. For my area, which is Tampa, they have a plethora to choice from; book reading to singles outings. I would try that b4 putting out lots of $$$ for a matchmaking service. A thought.

Although I should because of me being jewish, the cost for me is out of this world, compund that with the cost of relocating right now I am just not up to it,but yet I am also single and alone,
food for thought

I have a friend who married a man she met through a matchmaking service. They're together now 12 years and have 2 kids. There are a zillion ways to meet someone special. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Each one of them works for some people. Will it work for you? I don't know. Maybe.

I agree with you Michael. If it happens, it happens. During my "widow crazies" I tried EHarmony to my amusement and disappointment....I have decided that I am loved by my family, my friends, my dogs, my community and my Sunday school class ....and that is enough for now. I remember what a good friend told me once...If the right man falls out of the sky and lands on me, it will happen! I truly believe that! Rho :>D

I have done dinner works... it is in Toronto I know there are similar events all over and the age ranges change based on the dinner. I have done two dinner and was never overly impressed with the men I met there. It seemed like old boys week at the dinner they all did the dinner parties all the time and the women were all new and different to them... but no real chemistry interesting but not chemistry.
