Man it's a beautiful night and I've had a shi##y day. I think I'm going out for a little cycle therapy. Anyone else up for a roadtrip?

No Sh*t! It's solstice time, light till 9 here.
I'd love to...once I get a bike!
But first I've gotta figure out what to get.
Last Night I did the counter clock wise loop Ventura- Santa Paula- Ojai- Ventura. I stay off the freeway except in Santa Paula I jump on at N. Peck and get off at 10th so I don't go through town. Normally I will go through town. Check it on Google maps. Santa Paula, CA zoom out to catch Ojai & Ventura and center.

oh hell, that didn't work. let me try again.
Howdy lowfiron, et.al. Been searching for my flash drive with better pics of my bike but gave up and went out to the garage and snapped a few. It's dirty but we just got back from riding into Mexico this afternoon (on a date with my wife as it is the first time in over a year we've had the day/evening without kiddos. I'll find my flash somewhere in my pile o' shtuff and get some cleaner, clearer pics to post later. As far as rides: we usually take Expressway 83 out of McAllen, TX over to Brownsville, TX cross into Matamoros, Mex, take Mex 40 to either to the Progresso, TX border crossing, Pharr, TX crossing, or over to Reynosa (but have been avoiding Reynosa lately because, well, a lot of killings, shootings, and mayhem as of late due to the drug situation down there). That's pretty much the loop my wife and I ride down here. Sometimes, when we have more time, we either head to Valla Hermosa (or further down Mex 180) or over to Monterrey Mex for the day (very lovely scenery). When all other rides don't seem to scratch the itch, we head over to South Padre (perhaps my favorite place on this earth) and watch the waves roll in.

My ride: Yamaha Roadstar 1700

Wife's ride: Yamaha V-Star 650
I live fairly far from the border. There's an organized ride down to San Felipe on the Sea of Cortez every April, I was hoping to go on that this year but it didn't happen. All along the Baja border is bad 'specially Tiajuana.
