I have young children, but I am over 40.

Because they are in school they are exposed to colds, and one of them came ...

Yes, I have. My most successful remedies for me are exercise, and get a massage at least every 2 weeks! The massage especially helped boost my immune system. I actually was so sick back in 83, that it freaked me out. I have had massage at least once a month since that time, and try for every two weeks.

I feel for you. I was sick with a virus in my system the whole month of January 2007.It first started out as a cold but instead of going away, it stayed in my system. I mostly felt it in my legs. I went to work during the week, but stayed home in bed during the weekends. Meanwhile, I was trying to go to physical therapy on my neck and back from a car accident, but had to stop until I felt better a few weeks later. I tried to drink alot of orange juice, take 2000 mgs.of vitamin C, chicken soup.

Right now, my daughter is coughing all over the place and I keep on telling her to cough in her arm or sleeve. I am now taking acidolpholis, and l-lycene. and hopefully I won't get sick. I am also get bronchitis.

The best thing you can do is constantly wash your hand and use hand sanitizer. I even use a paper towel at work when I open doors in my office. I should do that at home too..
