I'll tell you, but you must promise not to make fun of me...
I'm re-reading the Stephanie Myers Twilight series, they're my guilty pleasure.
But my all time favorite is the Harry Potter series. You'd be surprised how many of us that are my age, and older, that love the series. With all it's plot holes and paper thin characterizations, it's still spins a wonderful story.
Book six and seven were woefully unsatisfying, however, as a hole the series is worth reading.
There I've confessed, I feel so much better now.

Right now I'm reading Peter Hamilton's Reality Dysfunction. I've just recently found this author and I really like him.
I really got into David Weber's Honor series and still need a few of those books to finish up as well as reading some of his other books.

I am almost done with the series i am reading 'chronicles of the shadow war' by chris claremont. i loved the first book but have really been unhappy with the second and now third one. i don't know why i continue to read it other than to find out how it ends. i don't have anything else to read right now and i really don't know what i want to go to next.

One of my favorite fantasy series was by Piers Anthony. The series was called incarnations of mortality. On a Pale Horse, Bearing an Hourglass, With a Tangled Skein were the first three books in that series. I read it back in the early nineties. I tried reading some of his other work, but never enjoyed any as much as the Incarnations series. I also like Sean Russell and Steven R. Lawhead. Right now, I'm reading a historical novel, but sci-fi/fantasy is what I am usually reading.

I enjoyed the series too. Host is also a good read. My daughter and her friend stole the series from me and keep me updated on anything new..."Look who's playing Edward!" was the latest but I was also texted the 1st chapter of new book.
I Love Heinlein! He was a man to be reckoned with.
The Piers Anthony series incarnations of mortality is also a favorite.
Enjoyed the post, now with list in hand (or after sunup and library opens) off I go to find new authors. Thanks

I find myself unable to pick favorites; my list would be terribly long too. I've just developed a literary crush on Neil Gaiman and am reading as much of his stuff as I can get my hands on. I'm also eagerly following Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series. Currently I'm reading Martin Millar's "The Good Fairies of New York" (right now I'd give it about a 3.5 out of 5 stars) and am partway into a preview copy of James Glass's "The Viper of Portello." (It's being published next month; I'm only about two chapters in but I can't wait to get back to it.)
