I'm recently separated after 18 years of marriage to my best friend. I've explained it to family and friends that it's as of we were living in a room with a cat and neither of wanted to mention the "cat" because we were afraid we might be the only one who recognized the cat. Now that we have officially acknowledged the "cat," there has been some healing but I'm still having difficulty coping with the separation. Are there any other "cat" people out there? How have you dealt with the issue?

PS- This is not an attempt to acquire proposals. Let me be. Thanks!

hey debi, not sure what I can offer, but I split with my husband, and at the time, I just KNEW it was the right thing to do...for both of us...and I think he's finally figured it out too (a year and a half later). If you wanna chat about anything, just shoot me an email...like I said, I have no great advice, other than sometimes things just don't work out. PS...kudos on the song du jour!
