when i was quite young, i found in my grandma's cupboard, a can of spam and a can of vienna sausages. i'd never seen either before and received the typical coarse answer from her when i asked what they were. i had never even imagined meat in a can at that point in my life. she would claim it was marvelous and she fried "it" in slices with eggs and other items that have added,no doubt, to my cholesterol count. she insisted it was a "type" of ham. uh, not so much. gack.
as for "spamalot", it was a wonderful play - saw it with the original cast and if you get a chance to see it - do it!

I just read that sales of Spam, that quasi-meat, are up due to high price of food and all. I don't have any in my cupboard . . . yet. So how do you like your Spam? With eggs? Grilled? Fried? You can carve neat things out of it--I once went to a Spam carving contest. Any good Spam recipes out there?
