Heavenly Father, we know that you are a God of protection. Please place a hedge of protection around all our troops wehere ever they are. Thank you for protecting them. I pray this in Jesus name.

Prayer For Those In The Military

Almighty God, we call upon You to clarify the division in our country over militia. All I know and I pray for is a blessing upon my loved ones that serve in these special forces and those that serve on the front line of our country defending and protecting it. We ask that their leaders be Godly that our nation may stand.

Their duty is so difficult and tasking, as I sit at home in my comfort. They have been trained in ways and warfare that I couldn't dream of participating in. They are far from home and loved ones and that is a great burden. I miss them and love them, but I want foremost to recognize their hardships and to minister to them.

Lord, be with them and be their peace. In the face of adversity strengthen them and be their comfort. Father God, let them know that the majority of our Christians believe in their calling and support them. Help us to do the little things that will comfort them.

As they take leave and return to their state land, grant them R&R and a chance to recover from the hardships they have faced. Help us to provide for their needs whether physical, mental or spiritual. Make our country once again proud of those that defend our homeland. Protect our men and women that serve and teach us to minister to them. They are very special and we thank You for watching over our troops, through Christ Jesus, our Commander-in chief. Amen

Daily Praise: July 3, 2008

I long for and I anticipate learning new ways to express my love for You. Just as You desire my love and praise, so I desire to cultivate the gift of praise so that it expands, so that I have greater ability to express my love for You. I want to be able to tell You over and over, in many and varied ways, how I worship You, how I love You, how I want to always be Yours, and how I want to always say yes to You, and bring You joy.

Heavenly Father,

We the people of the United States of America come together in prayer

for our nation and our children.

We thank You for inspiring our forefathers to establish our nation with You as our head.

Stir our hearts to repentance and help us to restore Your values in our families,

our government and our nation.

We pray for Truth to prevail, for our children to turn from Satan

and Wisdom for our leaders; that they make decisions based

on what Your Son, Jesus the Christ, taught us.

We believe in Your words that, if we pray for our nation, humble ourselves

and turn from our wicked ways, You will hear from heaven,

forgive our sins and heal our land.

Words From Jesus: July 4, 2008

My love has no limit. For I am Love and I cannot be contained. My love breaks forth on the right hand and on the left! You come to Me with your cup waiting to be filled, but I wish to open continuous channels of My love to you. If you will look to Me, seek Me first, put Me first, and draw near Me with your whole heart, then you will overflow with My love. Your cup will not be empty, but will overflow continually. You will not only have your own, measly store of love, but the bountiful, immeasurable store of My love to share with others.--Then, as you give, more shall be given to you, for there is no limit to Me or My love.

Asking For God’s Healing Touch Upon Me

Great God,

I love You. My life is in Your hands. I know that, unless I happen to be alive when Jesus returns, I will eventually face death. I know that all creation groans, and that I am part of creation. Although I have been given the “firstfruits of the Spirit,” and although my soul is now redeemed, the redemption of my body is yet future, something I am waiting for (Romans 8:23).

Like the Lord Jesus Christ, I say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” I know what I want, but I also know Your plans are so involved and complicated and intricate that I cannot perceive how You work all things together for good, at least often I cannot. But You are good. You are loving. And You are all powerful. You allow evil and the effects of the curse to produce a greater good in the long run. Only You alone see the big picture.

But I also know that often I have not because I ask not. I also know that You have chosen to touch millions; please, Lord, include me in that number. I go on record as asking. I ask You to heal me from the disease or condition in which I find myself. Please touch me and help me have a complete recovery, or at least to improve.

Bless the medical experts who are trying to help me. Give them wisdom and direction. Prosper their treatments, help them pinpoint the best strategy, and may it be effective. Help me respect them as I remember that a doctor, Luke, was privileged to write the third Gospel. Help me to intelligently seek competent medical attention.

Lord, it is my will that I would be like Epaphroditus and recover (Philippians 2:25-30) and not like Trophimus whom Paul had to leave behind because he was sick (2 Timothy 4:20). I know Your power is made strong in my weakness, and that You ways are far above mine. I know there is a time to laugh and a time to cry, a time for everything under the sun. But Lord, in Your mercy and grace, touch me I pray. Make me better if that is Your will for me.

I remember that it is not about me, it is about glorifying You. So touch me, for Your name’s sake, that I may glorify You. But if You do not, give me the grace to glorify You as well.

I pray in the Name of Jesus and for His glory, Amen.

Daily Praise: July 5, 2008

Jesus, thank You for being my personal business manager. Thank You for clarity of mind. Sometimes I feel lost in the forest of my daily life, not knowing what to do next, what my priorities should be, or what is most important. Thank You that this causes me to seek You and to seek the counsel and help of others. It helps me not to be too independent. And thank You for then blessing my efforts with such clear plans, clear ideas, clear indications of which paths to take, how fast to go, and for giving me peace by showing me the overall vision and goal.

Thank You for being right there to help me with the things I have to do. I don't have to worry that I lack wisdom or knowledge or experience, because You have all of that waiting for me as I turn to You. I confess my inadequacy and my need, then await Your whispers--and You are always so willing to help me and work through me. Whenever I have a problem, or need to know what to do first, or how to plan my day, I can just go to You and You give me clear counsel; You tell me how to get the most out of my day.

The wonderful thing about going to You for help is that a day planned by You is satisfaction guaranteed.

Wonderful, beautiful, lovely Jesus! You are my everything--my love, my heartbeat, my hope, my smile, my tenderness--everything. You're just perfect. No one could be better than You, Jesus.

Thank You for giving and giving and giving again. You bring tears of joy to my eyes because I can feel Your love. All I'm saying is thank You and how much I love You, but I hope that this small token of my gratitude and love is pleasing to You. I love You! I praise You! I honor and extol You forever and ever.
