Here are a few of my ATC's, I hope! I just taught myself to scan!

Those are lovely. they look like they might be textured. Are they? Such wonderful use of color and I like the composition especially on the upper middle one. What does it say under the bird? Care to talk about your concept and what you were thinking when you were working on them?

One of the rules of ATC's is that the size must be 2 1/2 by 3 1/2.
Sometimes I use plain white card stock and color it with chalk or ink. Sometimes I use paper that already has a design on it or colored card stock. I like to do my own coloring and shading.
I layer the different images on the card until it looks the way I want it to look. I use torn maps, rubber stamp images, stickers, images printed off of the Internet, ribbon, string, charms, vellum, punchies...You can use anything you want.
I have different categories that I work on depending on my mood--people, words, flowers, birds, butterflies, cultures, animals...
The word on the one with the bird is "twilight".
Thanks for the compliments.
This is a creative outlet for me.

They are really so very nice!! I can't wait to try my hand at it!! I think I will today!! Maybe I can get my husband to try it too!!
So, Cathiosu, Which of the cards above do you like the best and why? Which do you feel is less successful and why? I learn so much from listening to artists talk/write about their processes.

I wish I were an artist! I would love to be, but I can't draw or paint or sculpt or weave or anything! I can't even write my name legibly! I do this to relax and to express my creative side. I like different things about all of them. I'm still learning and exploring.

They seem very artistic to me! You don't have to be able to draw to do art!!
