Creative Outlets

Viviana - Your work is lovely - yes we do need to be appreciated. I didn't love working with wire because it ruined my needles, but I found it very interesting. I'll have to see if I can dig up some examples of what i did. I would like to get back to it at some point, but have mostly been working with things I can take a long with me and which don't involve tools. People tend to laugh at you when you pull wrenches and wire cutters out of your knitting bag!!

Viviana's wonderful crocheted bead work made me want to share. i was able to dig up a couple of pictures of some of my knitted wire work. I'm fascinated with the beauty of the wire.

I saw your wire knitting---lovely. Yes the wire puts nicks in my crochet hooks also. It also wears the paint off the hook. I use steel hooks to avoid this. I also keep my hooks for wire separate from my hooks for yarn/thread.

I'm new too. My daughter told me, after hearing my singing, that i sing better than Alfalfa.

My creative outlet is knitting. I've been knitting as long as I can remember. Lately, I've been knitting socks. The yarns are hard to resist and they are compact and easy to take on the go.

I have been making a few knitted and crochet wire projects but nothing that i'm particularly impressed with yet.

The pix posted are lovely. Something to aspire to some day.

Welcome to the group! I'd love to see some of your wire knitting - It is always interesting to see how differently people adapt this art!

I'm working on a huge afghan right now and have decided that my next project is definitely going to be socks. My husband just bought me a pair of Solmate socks and I want to play with this mismatched sock thing (plus the project will be portable!!!!)

Very nice...Try your state fair. It's a good place to get your beautiful crochet jewerly seen.
